Overview
I worked on a final project in Social Computing class at Pitt, where I designed this new Lost and Found feature to the existing Waze navigational app. Since Waze provides navigation software that support the Global Positioning System, I got the idea of using Waze app to include this additional feature to the app. The current social challenge is infact to find missing items and this is where it comes of use and great value. This feature would enable to keep track of all the lost and found items in the neighbourhood and is really helpful for all those who would want to track their lost personal items or pets.
Tools
I used Figma to create the wireframes and prototype for the mobile screens.

Description
The Lost and Found application consists of several UI screens which perform different functionalities such as:
- Register 'lost' item: The lost items can be registered with the app where the user can enter details like item name, item image and description, reward money for the person who finds the lost item, and the date and location of where the owner would have likely lost the item.
- Register 'found' item: If any person finds a lost item, they can enter the details of that particular item like item name, description, image and the date and location of where the person found that item.
- Chat with Finder: There is this option for the owner to contact the finder through a chat conversation so that the owner can obtain his lost asset. Once the owner confirms that he/she is the real owner of that item, the finder can leave it in the Hub Lockers nearby.
- Appreciation for the finder: There is also an option to show gratitude and appreciation to the finder or reward the finder by the owner. Every Wazer has the opportunity to gain badges which will be depicted in 'My Impact', showing their impact to the society with such generous deeds. Also has a scoreboard representing ranks and points achieved.
- Share on social media: The owner can share on social media such as Twitter that they have lost some item, by which other people in the neighbourhood would be notified about the item. The finder will have the opportunity to share their achievements on scoreboard of the badges earned on social networks like Facebook, Twitter etc.
